Bing Gains Search Share for Microsoft


Bing provides the gain for Microsoft in searchers and search query both by 3 points according to Comscore. In first two weeks after launch Bing provides the boom for Microsoft's search engine market share in the U.S. Comscore stat shows 12.1 percent search share in US in the period of 8-12 June which is 3 points up from 9.1 percent before the Bing launched. search users also up to 16.7 percent from 13.7 percent when the Bing launched on May 25-29.

"It appears that Microsoft Bing has continued to generate interest from the market for the second consecutive week," said ComScore Senior Vice President Mike Hurt in a statement.

* Around $64k: Oracle and Intel.
* Around $120k: Adobe and Cisco.

IBM has more employees than Microsoft, Intel, Dell, Cisco, Apple, Amazon and Google all put together.

Some other observations:

* Google and Amazon are almost exactly the same size in terms of employees.
* Microsoft has close to three times as many employees as Apple.
* IBM has almost 20 times as many employees as Google (or Amazon).
* HP has more than four times as many employees as Dell.

"Bing" : Microsoft's New Search Engine

Microsoft launched New Search Engine "Bing" to compete with Google and try to increase its search share in search business. Microsoft had already re brand its search engine 4 times from MSN Search, Live search, Kumo and now Bing.

Now MS is planning to provide competition to search giants Google and Yahoo that are far above the live search. The new interface of Bing is really looks competitive with others as it provides categorize results in group on the top left corner of the page. Some of its features are superior to Google like video search but it must have to work on its relevancy of content search.
